Skills for Personal and Professional Effectiveness

Resilience is the capacity to prepare for, recover from and adapt in the face of stress, challenge and adversity.

You can think of your resilience as the amount of energy you have stored in an inner battery – energy you have available to use not only physically but also mentally and emotionally.

When you have a high level of resilience or a fully charged inner battery, you have greater capacity to remain calm, think clearly and be in control of your emotions so you do not overreact. You can more easily “roll with the punches” and flow through challenges rather than become stressed out, which further drains your energy reserves.

Learning how to generate high level of resilience is probably the most practical, life enhancing skill we can learn, acquire and share in these fast changing and chaotic times.

The Resilience Advantage™ techniques that you will learn are a set of mental and emotional self-regulation and energy management techniques weaved into processes that lead to a restructuring of neural circuits. These techniques affect brain centers such as the amygdala, hippocampus, prefrontal cortex and thalamus and involve improvement in heart-brain synchronization, hormonal balance, the autonomic nervous system and vagal pathways.

I have been a Certified 1-1 HeartMath™ coach since 2001 and have personally used coherence and resilience strategies with spectacular outcomes in contexts varying from organisational change management to cancer management and recovery.

Logistics and Practical Tips

Mentoring of previous participants to the program can take place in informal conversations, please contact me for that.

Coaching is by appointments scheduled at regular times and at regular intervals and can be in person or at a distance via phone or Skype. Please use the booking schedule or call me.

Research has shown that a minimum of four sessions is ideal, spaced about one week to 10 days apart.

The program includes a full-colour, soft bound Building Personal Resilience Guide to help you engage in incorporating the resilience concepts you learn into your everyday life.
